Hey there, I’m Kyle.
Let’s make something cool.
I’m a digital designer based in Austin, TX with more than 15 years of experience, and ever since I was a young baby child, I knew I wanted to create eye-catching animation, make social media posts that stand out from our oh-so depressing newsfeeds, build websites that aren’t a drag to navigate, design emails that don’t get tossed on sight, and more. I really am living the dream.
I got my BFA from ✨SCAD✨(yes, that SCAD) and went right into the animation industry, where I did background art, pre-production art, and production illustration. From there, I made my way to the education industry, to create afterschool programming for my community. Acting as Webmaster, registrar, and program coordinator (whew!), I gained invaluable experience in management, print advertising, and web management. My experiences in education fueled my love of working alongside clients and community directly to solve problems and improve communication using art itself. You can convey a whole lot with just a little, and I think that’s what makes art so powerful.
After a decade, I knew I needed to expand my horizons, and I made a choice to pivot my career into the tech and marketing industry as a digital designer. To give myself the best shot possible, I received my UX/UI certificate from Springboard Academy in 2021. Being a voracious learner has some amazing perks. I used this knowledge and what I’d learned about working with people to hone my skills in finding the pain points my clients might be facing and building the best solutions for them. I’m fast, flexible, and I love looking stuff up and adding more skills to my ever-growing list, and completing projects in a collaborative team setting. Sounds pretty good, if you ask me. Pretty cool person with a lot going for them, right? The kind of person that would make your team, like, way stronger, right? Lot to think about there…
Anyway, when I’m not using art to help people achieve their dreams and be their best selves, I’m watching horror movies and hanging out with my cat Fig Newton.
Let’s work together. Who knows what we’ll be able to make.
